C/O Calgary Flames - return #6

Clint Malarchuk's name might ring a bell or two, that's because you typically see him on Sportscentres countdowns for one of the most gruesome injuries in professional sports. In 1989 Steve Tuttle's crashed into Marlarchuks net and his skate caught the goalies neck, severing his internal carotid artery (the video is attached below, it's pretty disturbing and surreal to believe he survived it). One of the teams trainers applied pressure to the wound so that he would not bleed out, thus saving the goaltenders life. He played a few more seasons in the NHL, and finished up his pro career in the IHL. Since 2011 he has been the Calgary Flames goaltending coach. This is the second card thats found it's way home for the OPeeChee set. Thank you Mr Malarchuk!
