John Brennerman

John Brennerman played for a number of NHL teams over the course of 5 seasons, none more star studded 1966-1967 Toronto Maple Leafs. Unfortunately he only appeared in 41 regular season games during the regular season so his name was not eligible to be added to the cup. Brennerman was nice enough to sign my card, as well as answer my questions!

Mario Marois

Mario Marois was Drafted 67th overall by the Rangers in 1977. He would go on to suit up for the Canucks, Norodiques, Jets, and Blues.

Dave Lowry

Lowry was taken in the 6th round by the Canucks in 1983. He would break into the NHL spending 3 seasons with the Canucks before being traded to the St Louis Blues. Lowry would go on to play for the Panthers, Sharks, and Flames as well. He would join the Calgary Hitmen as am assistant coach in 2005 working his way to head coach before leaving in 2012 to become the bench boss for the WHL's Victoria Royals. I had asked in my letter if Bobby Smith was telling him a funny joke, but I only my card was returned to me.

Gary Veneruzzo

Gary Veneruzzo was tolling around on the the Leafs farm team when the Blues took him in the expansion draft. While with the Blues Gary got his shot in the NHL playing in 7 games with the big club, he would soon leave the NHL for the rival WHA. Gary included a note responding to my questions, unreal to think he still has the puck from his first NHL goal from the 1967-1968 season.

Vincent Riendeau

An undrafted free agent signed by the Montreal Canadiens Vincent Riendeau spent his first couple seasons in the minors. After being dealt to the Blues Riendeau finally got his shot at starting in his first NHL game, but he took a hard shot off the shoulder in warm ups and was shut down. On another occasion he was his in the throat by a shot off of Charlie Huddy's stick. He went on to become the first Canadian hockey player to leave the NHL for the Russian Super league; I asked him in my letter if he liked playing in Russia or the NHL better, he circled the NHL. Today Riendeau is the Assistant GM, and goaltending consultant of the Habs farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Larry Keenan

He never really caught on in the NHL until the Blues claimed Keenan from the Maple Leafs in the expansion draft. With a hard working ethic, and an ever harder body check Keenan stuck around with the Blues before finishing up his NHL career in Buffalo and Philidelphia

Gary Sabourin

A cool return with a letter to go along with it! Gary Sabourin played ten years in the league, spending the majority of him time with the St Louis Blues, appearing in the 1970, and 1971 All Star Games. He was traded to the California Seals to show the young team the ropes, after just one season the team moved to Cleveland where Sabourin would hang up his skates for good.
