A highly touted prospect Matt Stajan was drafted in the second round by the Leafs in 2002, in 2003 he helped Team Canada to silver at the 2003 Wold Junior Championships. In 2009 Stajan was dealt to the Flames as a part of the Dion Phaneuf trade.  

Carey Wilson

Before playing his first ever NHL game Carey Wilson played in the Western Hockey League, the NCAA, the Liiga over in Europe, and for the Canadian International team. Wilson finally debuted with Calgary Flames in 1983, where he scored his first NHL goal on his second shift, and first shot of the game.

Sven Baertschi

I had mailed this to Flames prospect Sven Baertschi back in February care of the Abbotsford Heat. I figured it was long gone as the Flames decided to move their farm team to the States. After 170 day turn around it finally found its way home today! The signature turned out great in gold, definitely worth the wait.

Sean Monahan

After a tumultuous season last year the Flames cashed in during the draft on Sean Monahan with their 6th overall pick. He made the team out of camp, and was the first junior eligible player in 33 years for the Flames to stick around for the season. 

Mikael Backlund

I sent a few letters out to players Canadian teams at the start of April in hopes that I could nab a few players tending to their end of the season tasks, and today I got back the first success from the batch. Mikael Backlund is a stand out Swede, he was drafted in the first round by the Calgary Flames drafted in 2007. However, he struggled to live up to all the hype until last season. During the lockout he returned home to play in Sweden where he lit it up, it proved to be helpful for the young centre because when he came back for the start of the NHL season he said he wanted to, "show everybody I can play way better". Backlund is heavily involved in the community, being a spokesperson for charities in both Calgary and Sweden.

Perry Berezan

Perry Berezan is my first card back from my OPeeChee set. The former Flame, who is a product of Edmonton might I add, scored one of the most famous goals against the Oilers in franchise history. In the 1986 Smythe finals as I'm sure all Oilers fans are aware Steve Smith scored on his own net, what most people aren't aware of is that Berezan was credited with the goal. He can be seen in the youtube video below dumping the puck into the Oilers zone and then returning to the Flames bench, which meant that he was the last Flame to touch the puck therefore he was credited with the goal that knocked the Oilers dynasty out of the playoffs that season... all while sitting on the bench. He went on to play a couple more seasons with the Flames before playing for the Stars and Sharks, which included being a member of the Sharks first season in the NHL. Berezan had a pretty good fall back career after his playing days were done, becoming a financial advisor in Calgary - which is where I sent my card to, he added another Stars card as well as a personalized NHL alumni 4x6 picture featuring Perry in a Flames uniform.
