Al Hamilton

Mailed out: January 19, 2015
Returned: January 21, 2015
Time in mail: 2 days

No one is ever going to top this time of this return, the Edmonton hockey legend still lives within the community. Al Hamilton played his junior career with the Edmonton oil Kings making 3 appearances at the Memorial Cup, winning it once. He spent 5 seasons away from Edmonton with the Rangers and Sabres bouncing between the big league and the minors. He left the NHL in 1972 to join the rival WHA's Alberta Oilers, where he was named captain. Hamilton stuck around with the Oilers for another 7 seasons, including 1979 when they joined the NHL. His number was the first to be retired by the Edmonton Oilers, and to this day is the only Oiler who didn't win a cup in the 80's to have his number retired.

Jimmy Carson

Mailed out: October 29, 2014
Returned: November 10, 2014
Return #96

Drafted second overall by the Kings in 1986 Jimmy Carson would only put up 186 points over the next two seasons with the club before being dealt to Edmonton for Wayne Gretzky. Frustrated in Edmonton that he couldn't live up to the hype of being dubbed Gretzkys replacement Carson demanded a trade in 1989, he would be dealt to his hometown Detroit.

I had only sent the Detroit card, I wrote to Jimmy that I was a big Oilers/Red Wings fan he returned an extra Oilers card signed for me, also he used the toonie I included to cover the return postage from the US.

Anson Carter

Mailed out: September 5, 2014
Returned: October 7, 2014
33 days - Return #71

I was thrilled to see that Anson Carter was signing autographs at the Oilers locker room sale this past summer as I grew up loving Anson and his dreads as an Oiler, unfortunately it happened to be the same day as a previous commitment and by the time I got there they had cut off the line. So I decided to TTM Mr Carter, and it came back today. My sase was marked 1 hockey card on the front which seemed odd, further more the signature on the front and the back look different from his authentic signatures. Decide for yourself, is this the real deal or ghost signed?
