C/O Chicago Blackhawks - return #7
My very first return from a current regular in the NHL, Blackhawks agitator Andrew Shaw! Shaw became draft eligible in 2009, but was passed over in two drafts until 20011 when Chicago took him in the fifth round. He became a regular with the team last season appearing in all 48 games and made his mark in their playoff run to the cup. In the first game of the final the Blackhawks and Bruins went into triple overtime, until Shaw tipped in the winning goal giving Chicago the first win of the series. In the final game he took a puck off the side of his face immediately dropping to the ground, he left the ice but returned in the second period to help clinch the Blackhawks victory. One of the most iconic pictures of the celebration was Shaw lifting the cup, with his cut still bleeding after it was stitched up. He put the stitches up on ebay which fetched $6500 at auction, all the money went to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
