Originally drafted by the Blackhawks Tanti only played a handful of games with the club before returning to junior, and eventually being traded to the Vancouver Canucks. In Vancouver he emerged as a sniper, a true threat whenever he had the puck on his stick. Tanti later played for the Penguins, as well as the Sabres, before finishing up his professional career in Germany.
