c/o Halifax Mooseheads - 19 days - Return #61
During the 1977-78 Ontario Major Junior Hockey League season Bobby Smith tore up the league with 192 points, he went on to beat out Wayne Gretzky for the scoring title, and won the OMJHLs most outstanding player, as well as the CHL Player of the Year award that season. To cap off a great year Smith was drafted first overall by the Minnesota North Stars, and took home the 1979 Calder Trophy. He left Minnesota for a brief time for Montreal where he helped them capture the 1986 cup, Smith then later returned to Minnesota to finish off his career. Today he's a majority owner of the QMJHLs Halifax Mooseheads.
