Jamie Benn was drafted 129th overall by the Stars back in 2007 after playing Junior B hockey in British Columbia. After being drafted by the Stars, Benn joined the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. He would continue to grow with the Rockets putting up 65, and 82 point campaigns winning the Memorial Cup with the club, as well as a gold medal performance at the 2009 World Junior Championships. He would make the Stars team out of training camp, and has become a key part of their team over the last 5 seasons. At the start of the 2013 campaign Benn would be named the Captain of the Stars. He was a member of the gold medal Team Canada at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
