Stephane Richer is the only Canadian since Guy Lafleur's time to score at least 50 goals in a season, doing so in 87/88 and 89/90. He went on to win the Calder Cup in 1985, as well as two Stanley Cups with the 1986 Canadiens, and the 1995 Devils. Apparently during a pre-game warm up with New Jersey he fired a slap shot at his goalie, Martin Brodeur, shattering his jock - I asked Richer if this was true in my letter but he never wrote back. He included the two extras below.
