In recent years the trend has been first round picks tend to be Calder Trophy winers, but that wasn't the case with Steve Larmer. Drafted 120th overall by the Blackhawks in 1980 Larmer took home the 1983 rookie of the year title after putting up 90 points in 80 games. The Blackhawks traded Larmer to the Rangers and where he won his only Stanley Cup.
