Real Cloutier started off his pro career by joining the Quebec Nordiques of the WHA, the NHL didn't allow teenagers to join their league at the time. Cloutier tore up the WHA, considered a scoring threat whenever he had the puck on his stick. When the Nordiques moved to the NHL they quickly traded for Cloutiers rights, the Blackhawks had drafted him 9th overall in 1976. He was later traded to Buffalo where he didn't see eye to eye with Scotty Boweman, after a very turbulent season Cloutier called it quits and retired at age 28.
